The Rocky Mountains
April 10th to 12th: Colorado and Utah

We drove from Cheyenne into Colorado early in the morning at April 10th. We went through Denver and turned to west up to the Rocky Mountains. The landscape in the mountains is beautiful and very different from what we had in the prairie. When we got closer to Utah the land was more like a desert and pure desert when we got into Utah. We had room in a Best Western Motel in the mining village Price.  Next morning we went to a museum, it was a combination of prehistoric diagnoses, Indian culture and the history of the mining in this area. We were driving to the north towards Spanish Fork and Salt Lake City. After driving down the mountains for a while we suddenly drow in the beautiful town of Spanish Fork.  Later this day we went to Salt Lake City where we got to the Capitol of The State Utah and the monument of the Mormon settlement. In the evening we drove back to south and got room in a Motel in Fillmore, a small but historic village at the freeway 15 to Las Vegas.
